Many of our young clients are coming to see us with issues ranging from acting out in the classroom to shutting down all together and not able to communicate why they are feeling blue or frustrated. Our youth specialized therapists use methods including play therapy and other child focused tools to develop a rapport with their younger clients and help teach them ways to express themselves in a positive and safe environment.

We also provide support and encouragement for parents who are walking alongside their children in this process.”

In the first session, your child will meet their therapist and can ask questions about the counseling process. Your child’s therapist will discuss reasons for seeking help, ask clarifying questions, and set goals with your child. At the end of the first session, your child’s therapist develops a plan and makes recommendations. If all parties agree that continued sessions are beneficial, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled. Session frequency is determined according to the severity of the presenting issues.
