it's inception in 1985, Emmaus Counseling
Center has been proudly
providing outpatient mental health services to clients
throughout the Puget Sound region. We have
established and maintained collaborative
relationships with more than 500 local Primary Care
Physicians and other health care providers. As a
result, we have been highly successful in working in concert
with many local health care providers to provide you the
best possible care. |
| Value of "Walking Together" |
 The
Center's name "Emmaus" is taken from the
name of a townoutside Jerusalem. Following
Jesus' crucifixion, two of his disciples
were walking home to the town of Emmaus. The two
disciples were in deep anguish and
pain when a “stranger” they met along the
way comforted them as they "walked together" on their
journey home. Emmaus was founded on this image of "walking together" with our clients on their journey of self discovery and healing. Emmaus' therapists are caring, highly specialized, and respectfully willing to help you find peace in your life. One aspect that makes Emmaus unique is our therapists' backgrounds and religious beliefs and their ability to meet the vast needs of client's who are seeking a place where Christian faith and values are respected as well as many other faiths. However, all our therapists share the value of "walking together" with their clients on whichever path their journey takes them. |
