EAP Plans
Emmaus accepts Employee Assistance Plans (EAP) plans from Wellsprings, Cigna and UBH. Please let the schedulers and therapist know if you are planning to use an EAP for your sessions prior to your first session. This would require obtaining the authorization number, number of visits authorized and timeframe in which to use those sessions.

Microsoft Clients
If you are seeking either couples or family counseling please know that your Insurance coverage is through Wellsprings. Once you have scheduled your initial appointment, please call and obtain a pre-authorization from Wellsprings prior to your first visit to ensure coverage. Please ask for the authorization number, number of visits allowed and the timeframe for those visits.
Please use either your HSA card or Connect Your Care for your payments.
Boeing and AT&T Clients
Please know that your Mental Health Benefits are covered under Value Options Insurance.
Insurance Information & Coverage
Insurance coverage can be tricky to navigate and very confusing to the policy holder. We have tried to simplify the process and clear some of the confusion for our clients who are planning on using insurance coverage for their sessions. Please make sure to read our helpful information column to the left which addresses:
- Employee Assistance Plans (EAP) and coverage. If you are planning on using an EAP, please provide us with the authorization number, number of visits covered and timeframe at the time you are scheduling your appointment. Emmaus accepts EAPs from Wellsprings, UBH, and Cigna.
- Medicare eligible age clients (65+) updated information. Please not Medicare does not cover couples or marriage counseling.
- Group Health required actions by the policy holder.
- Microsoft employees seeking couples or family counseling and their coverage.
- Boeing employees mental health benefits are covered under Value Options.
When you call your insurance company to check on your "Outpatient Mental Health benefits in a provider's office" you may find it helpful to ask the following questions:
- Do I have outpatient mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met? Please note, that a high deductible (individual deductible exceeding $1,000) may require a co-payment of $50 applied toward that deductible at the time of your visit.
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is an authorization required from my primary care physician or insurance carrier?
- This is required for ALL Group Health clients. Once you have scheduled your appointment, you will need to call prior to your first visit to obtain an authorization. Each authorization is good for 20 sessions, then a new authorization is required.
- If there is a co-pay, how much will I be asked to pay at the time of the visit?
